1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TimeMask (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), developed and operated by TimeMask Devs, handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

TimeMask is a personal finance tool that converts prices into work hours. We designed it with privacy in mind — your financial data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

2. Data Controller

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), TimeMask Devs is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the App.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

TimeMask does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

Personal financial information (wages, salaries, spending)
Names, addresses, or phone numbers
Location data
Photos, videos, or files
Health or biometric data
Browsing history
Contacts or call logs
Device identifiers for tracking purposes
Analytics or usage tracking data

All data you enter into the App (such as your hourly rate, prices, and profile settings) is stored exclusively on your device in local storage. We have no access to this data and it never leaves your device.

4. Data Collected by Google Play

When you download TimeMask from the Google Play Store, Google may collect certain information as described in Google’s own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). This may include:

Your name and email address (associated with your Google account)
Device information
Purchase and download history

This data is collected and managed by Google, not by us. We do not have access to your Google account information. We encourage you to review Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.

5. Data Collected Through App Store Reviews and Support

If you choose to leave a review on the Google Play Store or contact us via email for support, we may receive:

Your public Google Play display name (through reviews)
Your email address and any information you voluntarily include (through support emails)

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiries and improve the App. Support correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to resolve your request.

To the extent we process any personal data (limited to voluntary support communications), the legal basis is:

Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): to respond to your support requests and improve the App
Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): when you voluntarily contact us or leave a review

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with any third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services within the App.

8. Data Retention

Since TimeMask does not collect or store user data on our servers, there is no data to retain. All App data resides on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data.

Support emails are retained for a maximum of 12 months after the last communication, after which they are deleted.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights:

Right of access: You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and request a copy of such data.
Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data.
Right to restrict processing: You may request restriction of processing of your personal data.

Since all App data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by modifying or deleting data within the App, or by uninstalling the App.

10. Children’s Privacy

TimeMask is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through a support request, please contact us at privacy@timemask.app and we will promptly delete such information.

11. Security

Although we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, we are committed to ensuring any communication with us (such as support emails) is handled securely. All App data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security measures.

12. International Data Transfers

We do not transfer personal data outside of your device. If you contact us for support from outside the EEA, your email communication may be processed in Italy within the EEA.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
